Spark personnel have significant sell side experience. Our typical sell-side approach will focus on finding the most appropriate buyer/buyer universe for a business and the running of a process tailored to deliver the best valuation from that buyer/buyer universe. We believe that this maximises the likelihood of a successful sale and consequently the efficiency of management input.

Spark has strong contacts amongst a range of private equity buyers. We have a track record of finding the correct partner in an MBO type transaction, not just the correct valuation. We understand that not all buyers are the same.

Important in our approach to selling a business is our debt advisory skill set. The ability to secure leverage on attractive terms can assist in maximising the sales valuation particularly in private equity transactions. In certain transactions a wholly levered transaction can achieve the desired cash realisation for a vendor without necessitating the sale of valued equity.

We differ from many of our M&A advisor peers who focus for commercial reasons solely on sell-side mandates Spark is able to offer selective companies a buy side service including bespoke acquisition searches.
